free2auction has a firm commitment to protecting
your privacy. The following discloses our information gathering
and dissemination practices for the free2auction service.
We strive to provide a consistent set of privacy practices
throughout the community.
By accepting the privacy policy and the user
agreement in registration, you expressly consent to our use
and disclosure of your personally identifiable information.
This privacy policy is incorporated into and subject to the
terms of the free2auction user agreement and may change from
time to time.
When you register at free2auction, we collect
your name, email address, mailing address, phone number.
If you establish an account with us to pay the fees
we charge, we collect some additional information, including
a billing address, a credit card number and a credit card
expiration date, and tracking information from checks or money
orders.
free2auction may use your email address to send you email
notice of your bid or auction status, and we may use your
email address to send you notice of upgrades or changes to
free2auction, new services, and special offers. We do not
sell, trade, or rent our list of email addresses to any third
parties, although we do occasionally allow third parties to
insert messages in our emails to you. You may choose not to
receive any of these emails by checking the appropriate setting
in your options page.
We occasionally will ask for additional information from
you. For instance, we may ask for your name, address, and
e-mail address in connection with a contest or other promotional
feature in which you participate, so we can administer the
contest and notify winners. We may offer contests or promotions
with third parties; policies concerning use of your personal
data gathered in connection with any such contest or promotion
will be specifically set forth in the rules and policies applicable
to the contest or promotion.
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or
letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence
about your activities or postings on the site, we may collect
such information into a file specific to you.
We use your information to facilitate the services you request.
We use information in the file we maintain about you, and
other information we obtain from your current and past activities
on the site, to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and
enforce our user agreement. At times, we may look across multiple
users to identify problems or resolve disputes, and in particular
we may examine your information to identify users using multiple
user ids or aliases.
You agree that we may use personally identifiable information
about you to improve our marketing and promotional efforts,
to analyze site usage, improve our content and product offerings,
and customize our site's content, layout, and services
Throughout the site, you are identified only by your user
id. If you select your email address as your user id you will
disclose your email address to other users and third parties.
As a result, other users and third parties might send you
unsolicited email and be able to personally identify all of
your public activities on the site. Even if your user id is
not your email address, your user id can be used to identify
you and your activities throughout the site. Other people
can see your bids, items that you have purchased in the past,
your feedback rating and associated comments, your postings
on the site, and so on.
When a user views your profile they will be able to see your
region, country, and date of registering from your user details.
When you submit ratings or comments on the feedback page,
all such ratings and comments will be publicly available,
together with the user ids of both parties (the rating party
and the party being rated). You may be contacted about your
experiences.
When you bid on an item, your user id and rating will be publicly
available in the bid history of the item.
Recognizing the global nature of the Internet, you agree
to comply with all applicable local laws and rules regarding
online conduct and privacy, as well as content.
free2auction cannot and does not control information users
make available to others users. Though prohibited, users may
provide information that is false, deceptive, harmful or offensive
to other users. Please exercise care in determining what information
you share with others in using this service.
Cookies are pieces of information that are passed to your
browser and stored on your computer's hard drive. free2auction

Upon registration with free2auction, each of
our members is assigned a random and anonymous user number,
which we use to track customer accounts. This user number
is different from any custom login ID selected by you and
may be passed to third party vendors with whom we work to
provide more efficient and relevant services to our users.
These third parties are unable to connect or associate this
randomly generated number with an individual email address,
phone number, mailing address login id or any other data that
may be used to specifically identify you. However, our anonymous
customer numbers may be used to measure traffic and visiting
patterns on free2auction and on other websites
on the Internet. We may also compile statistics and other
data about our customers on an aggregated basis, and may share
such aggregated data with selected third parties. This aggregated
data will not specifically identify you. free2auction
can release any information when such release is reasonably
necessary to comply with law, enforce or apply the terms of
any of our user agreements or protect the rights, property
or safety of free2auction, our users, or others.
Further, free2auction can disclose your login
ID, name, street, address, city, state, zip code, country,
phone number, or email to other free2auction
users in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual
property infringement, piracy or other unlawful activity whenever
free2auction in its sole discretion believes
necessary or appropriate. free2auction does
not sell, trade or rent personal information to other parties.
We reserve the right to do so in the future, but will allow
individuals to opt out of this process. Nothing in this privacy
policy shall affect or restrict free2auction's
ability to sell or transfer such data as part of a sale or
transfer of all or substantially all of its assets and you
consent to our doing so. You may change your personal information
at any time, including email address, phone number, mailing
address, and credit card information in your options page.
Upon closing a successful auction, both buyer and seller
may share personal information necessary to complete the transaction
with each other automatically using the setting in the options
page. This includes mailing address, telephone number and
email address submitted at registration. free2auction will
never release customer credit card information to a buyer
or seller.

They are your only identification for bidding purposes. If
you receive information about a bid you did not place, or
questionable communications regarding your account, please
contact free2auction immediately. You should not bookmark
any free2auction pages and you should logout, clear
the browser cache and quit the browser completely when you
are done browsing to reduce the chances of another person
gaining access to your account. We also protect your credit
card information by not displaying credit card information
on any page, credit card information cannot be changed without
submitting a new credit card.
free2auction uses industry standard practices to safeguard
the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information,
including Secure Socket Layers.
Some older browsers (such as IE 3.0.2) have known SSL bugs.
These can result in the browser crashing on SSL pages or giving
error messages. We recommend that you upgrade to the latest
version of whatever browser you prefer. For AOL users, you
may be able to upgrade your security by downloading and replacing
the schannel.dll from Microsoft. For users behind corporate
firewalls, you need to configure your web browser security
settings. This includes setting https or secure proxy settings.
