|
An items description is made up of many fields that help you
as a prospective buyer choose whether the item is exactly what
you are looking for. Before placing a bid or purchasing a store item be sure you have
read all the information given by the seller, as a purchase is considered a
binding agreement between you
and the seller. You can use the free2auction
search engine to refine your search on many of the listing
fields.
Fields in an item description
Item title:
Is the short description you see when browsing and searching
free2auction, it is also listed at the top of the item listing
page and gives you a brief summary of the item.
Category: Groups similar items into appropriate areas.
Auction or Store item id: A unique numeric
identifier for every item.
Seller: When considering
buying an item it is important to study the user who is selling
the item, investigate their previous auctions, what information
they present about themselves, and the feedback other users
have left.

will note whether they do not accept Escrow services,
if they accept escrow but expect the buyer to pay the fees, or whether
they will accept escrow and pay the fees.

Auction only details
Reserve not yet met: If
the seller has entered a reserve price and it has not yet been met,
there will be a warning
at the top of the item listing page. If the auction ends without any bids above
the reserve price it will be an unsuccessful auction with
no winner.
Currently: This is
the current highest bid on the auction, if you wish to place
a bid you must enter a value higher than this
price. If the seller expects the buyer to pay additional shipping charges
there will be a note next to the current bid stating this. For multiple
quantity auctions this is the lowest successful bid and the price all successful
bidders are to pay.
Quantity: Most auctions
sell a single item, however if the seller has specified a
quantity larger than one the auction becomes a multiple quantity
auction, which means more than one of the item is for sale,
and more than one user can be a winning bidder. All items are expected
to be identical. Multiple quantity
auctions have specific criteria and are handled in a different
way to standard single quantity auctions. learn
