Sellers Guarantee seller information

How to offer a Sellers Guarantee
If you are a seller wishing to offer a Sellers Guarantee on your listing, first you must have an available account balance that will cover the new proposed guarantee
available account balance, if so you may configure the guarantee settings as follows:

Auctions: There are two Sellers Guarantee settings for auctions, the auction price cover and the other charges cover.
Auction price cover is the maximum value you will cover the final end price of the auction to. If the auction ends at a price lower than this value it will be reduced to the auctions end price.
Other charges cover is an additional guarantee you can offer to buyers that covers additional buyer related costs for the transaction such as shipping and handling fees, or payment transfer fees.
The two settings for auctions are per quantity sold, so if you have a multiple quantity auction and one member wins 3 units, the Sellers Guarantee cover they have will be three times a buyer who wins 1 unit.

Store items:
There are two settings required to configure a Sellers Guarantee on a store item, the value of the guarantee and the number of items you are offering cover for.
Because you know in advance the price you will be selling a store item for, a single Sellers Guarantee value per item includes the guarantee for the item price and other buyer related charges combined, in addition you must specify how many quantity you are offering to cover, which reduces as items are purchased. If either of these settings are empty the Sellers Guarantee will not be set.

All Sellers Guarantee settings may be altered from the item amend pages
amend item help, Sellers Guarantee settings for auctions may not be altered if the listing has active bids.

Sellers account requirements
If as a seller you wish to offer a Sellers Guarantee (SG), you must have an available account balance greater than the new proposed guarantee. Your available account balance is calculated by taking your current account balance and subtracting any existing Sellers Guarantees on open listings, and any Sellers Guarantees for purchases during the past 30 days. The calculation and values can be easily managed by enabling the Sellers Guarantee tables on one of your configurable activity pages.

Available Account Balance = Account Balance - SG on open auctions - SG on open store items - SG on sold auctions - SG on sold store items

Available account balance: Amount you can offer as a Sellers Guarantee.
Account balance: Your current account balance, this figure does not include any promotion or referral credits which may not be used for a Sellers Guarantee.
SG on open auctions: Total possible Sellers Guarantee on currently open auctions. Item guarantee plus other charges guarantee plus $5usd processing fee per quantity for every open auction.
SG on open store items: Total possible Sellers Guarantee for currently open store items. Guarantee value plus $5usd processing fee times number of items guaranteed for each open store item.
SG on sold auctions: Total Sellers Guarantee on successful auctions that ended during the past 30 days. Item guarantee plus Other charges guarantee per item plus $5usd processing fee per buyer for each successful auction.
SG on sold store items:
Total Sellers Guarantee on store purchases during the past 30 days. Guarantee value times number of items purchased plus $5usd processing fee per purchase.

If your available account balance is not high enough to cover the new proposed Sellers Guarantee plus possible processing fees you will not be able to enter your item without removing or reducing the Sellers Guarantee.

Processing fee
Each Sellers Guarantee has an additional $5usd processing fee attached to it which is included in all calculations used to find the sellers available account balance. This fee is only deducted in the event that free2auction judges a buyer should receive a refund and is used to pay for charges incurred by free2auction when processing the refund.

Relisting items that have a Sellers Guarantee
Because a Sellers guarantee is directly related to your account balance, when relisting an item the Sellers Guarantee values will be removed, meaning you must implicitly enter them for each listing. Exceptions to this rule are when you enter a new item from your default sell data, and when you have an auto relist auction that did not successfully sell, in this case the auction will be automatically relisted with the existing Sellers Guarantee values.
